Carol Schrier-Polak received Family Law Service Award
Carol J. Schrier-Polak,has been named the 2008 recipient of the Family Law Service Award presented by the Virginia State Bar's Family Law Section.The award recognizes people and organizations that have improved family, domestic relations, or juvenile law in Virginia.

Lori Murphy has been elected to serve as a Board Member of the Potomac West Business Association Alexandria for the 2nd year.

Philip Keating Appointed to Arlington Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee
Philip Keating has been appointed to the Executive Committee of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce and will serve as Vice Chair- Economic Development and Government Affairs. He also will serve as the Arlington Chamber of Commerce representative on the Board of Directors of the Northern Virginia Transportation Alliance.

How to Recognize Critical Software IP Issues in Everyday Practice

Dave Temeles will be presenting a seminar for the District of Columbia Bar on January 30, 2008, titled "How To Recognize Critical Software IP Issures In Everyday Practice". The purpose of the seminar is to "arm the non-IP attorney with a good understanding of software and intellectual property rights, so the practitioner can identify key software IP issues arising in everyday practice".
