Expectations for attorneys at Bean, Kinney & Korman are not limited to intellect and academic achievement. The firm is not structured into practice departments. Each attorney has proficiency in multiple practice disciplines, many of which overlap.  In combination, this results in our ability to assemble teams of attorneys whose complementary knowledge and skills produce extraordinary capabilities and results. We generally hire to fill specific practice needs, but any attorney who demonstrates the desire and initiative to migrate into other productive practice areas will not be discouraged from doing so.

Current Opportunities

Trademark/Licensing Attorney:  Mid-senior level trademark & licensing attorney (5+ years) with an entrepreneurial spirit and strong desire to grow practice.   Experience in trademark prosecution and litigation, development and implementation of branding strategies and licensing; developing strategy for ongoing protection of trademark portfolios; drafting, negotiating and executing complex agreements, and experience with USPTO.   Must possess excellent writing, strong communication as well as strong computer skills.  Virginia Bar required.  

Employment Law Attorney:  Experienced Employment Law attorney (5+ years).  Primary focus is on employment contracts, discrimination claims and Fair Labor Standards Act matters.   The ideal candidate will have excellent writing, research and strong communications skills.  Virginia bar required.  Maryland and D.C. bars a plus.   

Government Contracts Attorney: Experienced government contract attorneys or practice group with portable practice. Significant opportunity to cross-market with our growing business, real estate, litigation, M&A, intellectual property, and tax practices. Virginia Bar required.

Tax Attorney: To enhance our tax capabilities and complement our growing business, real estate, litigation, M&A, intellectual property, and estate and tax planning practices. Virginia Bar required. 3+ years of experience; LLM or CPA helpful.
