Bean, Kinney & Korman Lawyers participates in Wills for Hero's

Bean, Kinney & Korman lawyer Michael Abejuela  is participating in Wills For Hero's 2009. The Wills for Hero's program was started shortly after the September 11th terrorist attacks to provide free estate planning documents to first responders in various communities. This year, the program has returned to Arlington County and is sponsored by the Virginia State Bar, the Virginia Bar Association, and the Arlington County Bar Association. Michael Abequela previously volunteered his time to the program when it was in Loudoun County in preparing estate planning documents for first responders. This year, Michael is assisting in various capacities. He has conducted a number of the required information sessions for the first responders where they are provided a basic overview of estate planning including topics on wills, trusts, advance medical directives and powers of attorney. Michael also has participated in the teaching of the required continuing legal education presentation for volunteering attorneys who wish to take part in the program. Lastly, he is assisting in the actual preparation of the estate planning documents for first responders.

Abejuela has volunteered with Wills For Heroes multiple times to assist first responders with their basic estate planning needs.  Jim Schroll and Sabiha Malik from Bean Kinney & Korman also provided assistance in the Wills for Hero's program this year.
