Fairfax County Courthouse

The Fairfax County courthouse is in the heart of Fairfax City, one block southwest of the corner of Chain Bridge Road (Route 123) and Main Street (Route 236). Parking is available in a multi-level parking garage, which is immediately adjacent to the courthouse. There is often slow, heavy traffic flowing into the garage, which tends to greatly increase the amount of time it takes to park. In addition, the garage often reaches capacity in the mornings, particularly on Fridays. Very limited street parking may be found around the courthouse, and several of the surrounding buildings have surface lots, although virtually all of these are supposedly limited to people working in or visiting those buildings. You should plan on arriving well in advance of the scheduled time for your hearing in order to make sure you find parking.

There is an information desk on the first floor of the courthouse. The offices of the Fairfax County Bar Association are located on the third floor of the courthouse, as is the Fairfax Law Library (703-246-2170) that is accessible to the public weekdays during normal business hours. There is a cafeteria in the basement of the courthouse.

Please note that the Fairfax Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court is not located in the main Courts building, but rather is located in the renovated historic brick courthouse building at the corner of Chain Bridge Road (Route 123) and Main Street (Route 236), approximately 1/2 block from the parking garage.
