Jerry William Boykin is of counsel to the firm and focuses his practice on civil litigation. He will also represent clients in corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions and other transactional work.

Mr. Boykin has been practicing law for more than 30 years. Prior to joining Bean, Kinney & Korman, P.C. Mr. Boykin most recently practiced law at Womble, Carlyle, Sandridge & Rice. He has significant experience as a business litigator in federal and state courts throughout the country, with emphasis on complex civil litigation. This includes antitrust, restaurant franchise matters, copyright and trademark infringement, energy related litigation, constitutional questions and business torts, such as breach of fiduciary duty. He was chief counsel in the Feddleman v. Langen case, a case involving the Virginia Business Conspiracy statute and the Hanes bankruptcy matter.

Mr. Boykin has a B.S. from Eastern Michigan University and a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. He is admitted to the District of Columbia Bar, the Virginia State Bar, the New York Bar and U.S. Supreme Court, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second, Fourth and District of Columbia Circuits; U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia and the Southern, Eastern, and the Northern and Western Districts of New York. Mr. Boykin is a member of the District of Columbia, Virginia State, Fairfax and American Bar Associations, as well as a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.

Mr. Boykin is a Vietnam veteran having been awarded the Bronze Star and Air Medal and is a retired Naval Reserve Officer. He also has been active in bar associations and civic activities in Alexandria and Fairfax, Virginia and throughout Northern Virginia.
