Bean, Kinney & Korman's Timothy R. Hughes Serves as Chair-Elect of Arlington Chamber of CommerceJan. 3, 2013, ARLINGTON, VA—Bean, Kinney & Korman announced today that firm shareholder Timothy R. Hughes will serve as Chair-Elect of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce in 2013. He will begin his term as Chair in 2014. Hughes has served on the Chamber’s Board of Directors since 2007 and as Assistant Treasurer on the Executive Committee last year. “We are incredibly proud of Tim’s accomplishments and are certain he will utilize his legal and business experience to benefit the Chamber and the Arlington business community in a number of ways in this enhanced role,” said Leo Fisher, managing shareholder at Bean, Kinney & Korman. Hughes represents clients in construction and commercial litigation, as well as corporate, contracts and general business matters. He has been recognized as a “Leader in the Law” by Virginia Lawyers Weekly and named a member of the Legal Elite for Construction Law by Virginia Business Magazine. Hughes has also been named a Best Lawyer in America in the areas of Litigation - Construction and Construction Law. Active in the Arlington and Northern Virginia community, Hughes currently serves as a board member of Leadership Arlington, the Reston Chamber of Commerce, the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association and Phoenix House of the Mid-Atlantic. He regularly speaks to groups on business, litigation, social media and construction-related topics and serves as a guest blogger on the Washington Business Journal’s blog, "Biz Beat." |
