Bean, Kinney & Korman Welcomes Ashley R. Dobbs as Associate to the Firm
ARLINGTON, VA, November 10, 2011—Bean, Kinney & Korman, P.C., one of Arlington’s largest and most widely recognized independent law firms in Northern Virginia, announced today that Ashley R. Dobbs has joined the firm as an associate. Ms. Dobbs represents clients in intellectual property matters, while handling intellectual property licensing, business transactions, trademark prosecution and litigation, as well as a range of other matters.

Ms. Dobbs has experience drafting licensing, assignment, use and other business agreements for intellectual property and coordinating all aspects of the protection of trademark portfolios. She has represented clients in matters before the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s Trademark Trial and Appeals Board and has been involved in domain name disputes before the World Intellectual Property Organization. Ms. Dobbs also actively represents clients in a variety of animal law-related matters, including transactional matters and pet trusts.
Prior to joining Bean Kinney, Ms. Dobbs practiced at Protorae Law PLLC and Hogan & Hartson LLP (now called Hogan Lovells). She also has previous experience as a business and marketing consultant.
Ms. Dobbs earned her law degree from the University of Richmond School of Law, graduating magna cum laude. She has a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Ms. Dobbs is a member and past chair of the Virginia Bar Association’s Legal Services Pro Bono Hotline and was on the Advisory Committee on Animal Cruelty Prosecution for the Association of Prosecuting Attorneys and Animal Welfare Institute. She is also an Animal Law Committee Chair for the American Bar Association’s Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section.
