Lauren K. Keenan is an associate with the firm and focuses her practice on land use law, estate planning and estate administration.

Ms. Keenan prepares a wide range of estate planning documents for her clients including: Wills, Revocable Trusts, Special Needs Trusts, Durable General Powers of Attorneys, Advance Directive/Health Care Powers of Attorneys, Deeds transferring ownership of real property, Operating Agreements for LLCs and Assignments of LLC interests into trust.

Ms. Keenan is a member of the Virginia Bar Association, the Fairfax Bar Association, the Alexandria Bar Association and the Arlington Bar Association. She is also a member of the Wills, Trusts and Estates Section of the Fairfax Bar Association and co-chair of the Arlington Bar Trust and Estate Section. Lauren has written several articles on the subject of estate planning and business succession planning and is a regular contributor to the Firm’s “Wills, Trusts and Estates Newsletter.” Click here to sign up for or read the most current newsletter.

In December 2011, Ms. Keenan was interviewed by Northern Virginia Magazine for the article titled, "Family and All It Entails… Frozen Embryos and Furry Friends," where she discussed a case regarding frozen embryos in estate planning.

Ms. Keenan is also involved in several professional organizations, including: the McLean Estate Planning Council, the Northern Virginia Estate Planning Council, CREW-DC, the International Council of Shopping Centers and NAIOP. She also volunteers her time to the Animal Welfare League of Arlington (AWLA) and other Arlington-based organizations.
