Tad is a shareholder of the firm and specializes in land use, zoning, real estate, construction and development, public/private partnerships and capital projects, as well as related local, state and federal government matters. He is also experienced in associated business matters, and the various ownership and entity structures connected to such transactions. In addition to his experience in private practice, Tad provides clients the added perspective of having represented local government in similar matters prior to joining the firm.

He is a LEED Accredited Professional with knowledge of the law as it relates to the design, construction and operation of green buildings.

Tad Co-Chairs the Government Relations and Economic Development Committee of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, is a member of the Board of Directors of the Columbia Pike Revitalization Organization, is a member of the Board of Directors and the Secretary for the Ballston BID; a graduate of Leadership Arlington, is actively involved in the Urban Chapters of NAIOP & NVBIA, serves as pro bono land use counsel to Habitat for Humanity, is a member of the Board of Directors for ASPAN, and is the Land Use Editor for the firm’s Blog Virginia Real Estate, Land Use and Construction Law Blog.

Tad holds a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Marine Transportation from New York Maritime College, received his Juris Doctor from Catholic University, and is admitted to practice in Virginia.
