The Tax Court is located two blocks northeast of the Federal Courthouse and two blocks east of the District of Columbia courts complex at the corner of Second and D Streets, NW. Parking around the immediate area is exceedingly limited. Taxicab and Metro are the best ways in which to travel there. The courthouse complex is one block east of the Judiciary Square Metro Station on the Red Line. There are a very few metered spots on the streets surrounding the Court. Getting one of these largely depends upon luck. Several of the larger commercial buildings have public parking garages, although those drivers without monthly parking permits are usually unable to enter past 9am because the garages fill up with commuters.
