Arlington, VA – Bean, Kinney & Korman announced today that James Korman has been awarded the 2014 Betty A. Thompson Lifetime Achievement Award by the Virginia State Bar Family Law Section. Jim will be presented with the award at the annual Advanced Family Law Seminar on April 24, 2014 in Richmond, Virginia.

The Betty A. Thompson Lifetime Achievement Award was established by the Virginia State Bar Family Law Section to recognize and honor an individual who has made a substantial contribution to the practice and administration of family law in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The award is given at the discretion of the VSB Family Law section Board of Governors.

Jim has over 45 years of experience in domestic relations matters. He counsels and represents clients in all aspects of family law with particular focus on complex divorces involving the division of marital assets including stock options, pension plans, and investment and business interests for high net worth individuals. He regularly applies his past experience in business, commercial and banking law to benefit his family law clients.
