Jennifer Brust Named an Influential Woman of Virginia by Virginia Lawyers Media

Arlington, VA — Bean, Kinney & Korman announced today that Jennifer Brust has been named to the Class of 2013 of Influential Women of Virginia by Virginia Lawyers Media. Each year, Virginia Lawyers Weekly and Virginia Medical Law Report present this award to women in law, business, health care, education and the arts who are making notable contributions to their chosen professions, their communities and society at large.

Jennifer was named an Influential Woman of Virginia for her wide range of legal and civic activities throughout the Commonwealth. She has served as a Commissioner in Chancery for the Arlington County Circuit Court since 1996 and an Adjunct Professor of Law teaching Secured Finance at the George Mason University School of Law since 2010.

Jennifer is a past president of the Arlington County Bar Association and has served on the Virginia State Bar Council and the Virginia State Bar’s Standing Committee on Legal Ethics. She currently serves on the Executive Board for the Washington & Lee High School Booster’s Club, as well as having coached youth soccer and basketball teams for many years.

Jennifer is an equity shareholder at the firm, where she represents clients in commercial and civil litigation, bankruptcy, creditor’s rights, real estate disputes and government contract litigation. She actively litigates in the state, federal and bankruptcy courts in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. She is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell® and listed in the Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights Law and Litigation-Bankruptcy.

Jennifer will be celebrated at a gala luncheon on May 16 at the Richmond Marriott in downtown Richmond. She will also be profiled in a special publication distributed at the event and inserted into Virginia Lawyers Weekly on May 20.
