James Korman Honored with William L. Winston Award

Arlington, VA — Bean, Kinney & Korman announced today that James Korman was honored with the William L. Winston Award by the Arlington Bar Foundation. The award is given annually to commend and recognize members of the Northern Virginia community for longstanding public service who have distinguished themselves in the promotion of democratic ideals and the advancement of the rule of law.

Mr. Korman will be celebrated at a luncheon in his honor on November 17.

“This is a very prestigious award and one that Jim richly deserves,” said Jennifer Brust, deputy managing shareholder at Bean, Kinney & Korman.

Jim is a shareholder of the firm and practices in family law. Throughout his career, Jim has devoted countless hours toward community, charitable and legal organizations. Currently, in addition to his service to clients of the firm and his service on several boards, Jim also teaches as an adjunct professor of Trial Advocacy at George Mason University Law School. He is an active member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the Arlington County Bar Association, the Virginia State Bar, the American Association for Justice and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.
