ARLINGTON, VA — Bean, Kinney & Korman is pleased to announce that Austin B. Haynes, Planning Director, has been named a finalist in the Economic Legacy category of the 2026 Make Your Mark Awards.

Presented by the Prince William County Department of Economic Development & Tourism, the awards recognize the businesses, organizations and individuals helping shape the county’s economic future. The Economic Legacy category honors more than 20 years of transformational economic impact in Prince William County.

Austin focuses on rezonings, entitlements and permitting throughout Northern and Central Virginia, working with commercial businesses, home builders, land developers and private individuals. A former developer and commercial real estate broker, he has been involved in more than $1 billion in real estate sales and development and has successfully brought forward more than 50 land use cases.

Austin works closely with clients, community members and local leadership to advance projects that balance community priorities with clients’ development goals. His experience extends beyond entitlements to include site selection, financing considerations and project management throughout the development process.

Finalists will be honored and award winners announced at the 2026 Make Your Mark Business Celebration on Thursday, November 12, at 6:30 p.m. at the National Museum of the Marine Corps.
