Robert Wolfson is a shareholder at Bean, Kinney & Korman focusing his practice on corporate and business law. He regularly serves as outside general counsel to small and mid-sized businesses across a variety of industries and handles all aspects of the business entity life cycle including initial formation and governance, the preparation and negotiation of service agreements and commercial contracts, and founder/owner exit. He also represents his business clients on a wide variety of employment matters, including the defense of employee claims (such as discrimination, wrongful termination, and wage-hour claims), as well as the drafting and enforcement of employment agreements, handbooks, and other employment policy documents.
Bob assists clients with merger, acquisition, and disposition transactions for both buyers and sellers of businesses across multiple industries. For his individual and business-owner clients, he regularly assists with estate and succession planning. Bob also handles litigation matters in the areas of trusts and estates, bankruptcy, and asset recovery.
Prior to joining BKK, Bob was a managing attorney and senior counsel at firms in Northern Virginia and before that served as law clerk to the Honorable Gerald I. Fisher and to the Counsel to the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
