Thomas Matthew is an associate attorney with Bean, Kinney & Korman, focusing his practice on commercial and civil litigation.
Thomas helps start-ups and small businesses with corporate organization, partnership agreements, and transactional contracts while ensuring rigorous adherence to local, state, and federal regulatory requirements. He is passionate about empowering entrepreneurs as they grow their businesses while expanding access to high-quality legal representation in line with their goals and requirements. Prior to joining the firm, Thomas was an associate with the Alameda County Public Defender Agency.
Thomas is licensed to practice in Virginia.
Beyond the Suit
Outside of the office, Thomas enjoys Muay Thai archery and hiking the area trails with his dog. As a former division III track & field competitor and alpine ski racer, he’s always up for a challenge on the track or slopes.
Experience
- Defended a historical insurer of a national religious organization from fraudulent claims, both individual and class action, and conducted analysis which successfully avoided liability (Federal Bankruptcy matter).
