Firm Appoints Timothy Hughes to Equity Shareholder

Arlington, VA — Bean, Kinney & Korman is pleased to announce that Timothy Hughes has been appointed as an equity shareholder of the firm.

Tim will continue to represent clients in construction litigation, commercial and civil litigation, and corporate, contract and general business transactional matters in his new role within the firm. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and knowledgeable regarding sustainable design and construction.

Tim has over 19 years of experience in private practice. He has been of counsel to Bean, Kinney & Korman since January of 2009. Prior to joining the firm, he owned and managed Hughes & Associates, PLLC where he represented clients in complex litigation matters, construction and general litigation matters, and general corporate and business representation.

Tim is lead editor of the firm’s blog, Virginia Real Estate Land Use and Construction Law, and has authored many industry specific publications relating to construction law. He regularly presents to the architecture, engineering and construction community on a variety of legal and business topics.

In 2010, Tim was recognized by Virginia Lawyers Weekly as a “Leader in the Law” and by the prestigious Virginia Business Magazine as one of “Virginia’s Legal Elite” in the construction law category.
