Jonathan Harrison is a shareholder with Bean, Kinney & Korman, focusing his practice on representing clients in complex commercial litigation and government contracts matters at the state and federal levels. Before returning to Bean, Kinney & Korman in 2025, Jonathan served as an assistant attorney general in the Consumer Protection Section of the Office of the Virginia Attorney General, where he litigated consumer protection actions involving state and federal laws prohibiting unfair or deceptive business practices.

Frequently, Jonathan counsels businesses and individuals on litigation strategies and legal issues including bid protests, claims and disputes, sub-prime issues, and civil investigative demands (CID’s). He has first and second chaired multiple trials and routinely handles depositions and motions in Court. Jonathan is also experienced in representing clients in alternatives to litigation including mediations and arbitrations. He has represented clients in an array of matters, including:

Experience

Co-led the Commonwealth of Virginia’s action against Google alleging unlawful monopolization of certain digital advertising technology markets.
Represented government contractor in a successful bid protest against the Department of Justice and Booz Allen Hamilton.
Co-led the Commonwealth of Virginia’s action against the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA), which led to the reform of college athletics by ending the NCAA’s illegal Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) recruiting ban for prospective athletes.
Honors intern with the Enforcement Division of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission assisting with the prosecution of stock fraud and Ponzi schemes.
Intern with the Florida Attorney General Office of Statewide Prosecution, litigating White Collar Crime and Criminal Syndicates.
