Blake Frieman is a shareholder at Bean, Kinney & Korman who focuses on commercial lending and real estate matters. He routinely handles the drafting and negotiation of commercial loan documentation for numerous regional and national lending institutions. He also handles creditor enforcement issues including collections, foreclosures, and workout matters. Blake represents clients in all aspects of the acquisition, sale, financing, and leasing of commercial and residential real estate.
Blake serves on Bean Kinney’s opinion committee and frequently prepares legal opinions for transactions involving Virginia, Maryland, and/or District of Columbia law for both local and out-of-area clients. He has significant experience dealing with title insurance issues that frequently arise in his commercial lending and real estate practice. Blake also advises clients on estate planning, asset protection, and taxation issues, and he represents business clients in landlord-tenant matters and other general commercial litigation matters.
Prior to joining Bean, Kinney & Korman, Blake served as a legal intern for Commissioner Maureen K. Ohlhausen of the Federal Trade Commission. He also served as a legal intern for the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida.
